What kind of photos work best for a custom portrait?
- Natural Light and No Filters: Photos taken in natural daylight without flash work best. This ensures we capture your pet’s true colors and details.
- Eye-Level and Close-Up: A front-facing, close-up shot at eye level with your pet is ideal. Make sure the head, neck, chest, and ears are visible for the best result.
- Avoid Blurry or Overhead Shots: Blurry, overhead, or filtered photos make it harder to create a detailed portrait. Please avoid these when submitting your pet’s photo.
We review all photos when new orders come in. If we need a better photo, we’ll reach out via email for more options. For more details, check out our Image Guidelines.
How many pets can I include in one portrait?
For royal pet portraits, the number of pets depends on the template you choose—either 1 or 2 pets per portrait.
For our modern pet portraits, you can include up to 4 pets in a single print.

What animals can you create portraits of?
We create portraits for all kinds of pets! From dogs and cats to rabbits, birds, and even horses. If it’s a pet, we can design a portrait for you. All animals are welcome!
Can I see the portrait before it's printed?
Yes! Once your pet portrait is finished, we’ll send you a preview via email. You can request unlimited edits until you’re completely satisfied. Only after you approve the final version will we proceed with printing and shipping your artwork.
We want to make sure you love it before it’s sent to you!
What if I’m not satisfied with my portrait?
At LuluPaws, we strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If you’re not happy with your custom artwork, we’ll make unlimited revisions based on your feedback before printing. If you’re unsatisfied after receiving the portrait, simply contact us and we’ll create a new one for you.

How long does the entire portrait creation, proofing, and delivery take?
The complete process typically spans 10-12 business days. Within 24-48 hours of placing your order, you’ll receive an email with a proof of your pet portrait. After you approve the final proof, your framed portrait will arrive within 5-10 business days in the U.S. and 7-12 days in Europe.
Please note that any revisions to your proof may extend the turnaround time. You will also get an email notification with tracking information once your item ships, allowing you to track its progress and anticipate its arrival!
